wherever you are! It has been an absolute wonderful week, and I hope
it was the same for you all.
Well, to start, we had día de Reyes on the 6th. It was a blast to
basically celebrate Christmas all over again. Everyone here opens
their presents on that day, so it is Christmas round two. They also
have a great tradition with the Roscón de Reyes. It's a round
donut-looking cake with cream in the middle. The fun part is that they
put two figurines in the cream, but you can't see it. Whoever gets the
king has good luck for the rest of the year, and the whoever gets the
other random one has to do the dishes, and has interesting luck for
the year. Luckily I got both, so I am going to have a relatively
normal year. There's nothing like chewing porcelain when you are just
trying to enjoy a piece of cake. Hahaha
On another happy note, one of our less active members is reactivating
gave us all of her cigarettes, coffee, and tea to throw away. It was a
great experience to be a part of, and we are super happy for her.
Random fact, The weather here is crazy. During the day it is super
nice, but then during the night it drops like 100 degrees and is
freezing. It's mostly due to the fact we are right on the sea.
That's about it for this week. I am truly grateful to be serving this
mission, and it has changed my life for the better. Keep making good
choices people, and have fun!
